Before there was a food truck, there was a title company desk and a restaurant management job β and two people who knew there had to be something more.
Jessica Iannuzzi grew up in Somerton, Pennsylvania. Stephen Koste grew up everywhere β son of a military father turned radio DJ, he absorbed the flavors and cultures of the country before landing in the Philadelphia area. Friends for ten years before they started dating, they soon realized they shared the same dream: to build something of their own.
In 2012, they quit their jobs and launched Sum Pig Food Truck in Stephen's hometown of Ambler. The name is a nod to Charlotte's Web β and a reflection of exactly who they are. Sum Pig is the sum of everywhere they've traveled, every culture that left its mark on how they cook, every meal that inspired them.
Today, Sum Pig is an award-winning food truck, catering company, and storefront. Mayor's Cup winners at the Taste of 3 Cities. Featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer. They've cooked for Paul McCartney's crew at Firefly Music Festival. They've opened a storefront in the historic Fort Washington train station. Built something real β from nothing, together.
After 12+ years running Sum Pig, we put everything we've learned into one no-fluff guide. Real advice from real experience β from buying your truck to booking your first event.
Order from the storefront, book the food truck, or grab catering trays for your next event.
